Take your uniforms to the next level.

It’s Time To Select Apparel That Employees Love To Wear

Ready to make the most of your company’s uniform investment? These three considerations will help you choose apparel that your employees will look forward to putting on every day.

1. Consider the Wearer

This is the place to start. Your organization is most likely made up of employees with a wide variety of job functions – all working in different conditions and environments. The apparel needs of warehouse supervisors are very different from those of sales reps who spend most of the year on the road. You can buy one polo shirt and “make it work” or you can select a piece that meets the unique style and performance needs of your employees.

Once you identify who’s going to wear the piece you can address their specific needs and arrive at apparel that both performs for wearer and is something they’ll look forward to putting on.

2. Create a Cohesive Look Through Branding and Materials

Once you arrive at the right garments for the right people, it’s time to think about branding. If your uniform program includes multiple pieces, you have a real opportunity to give your brand a visual boost.

If you simply throw your logo on the front left chest of each piece, you’re missing a chance to do something really memorable. We’ll work with you to design branding that looks impressive and emphasizes what makes your brand truly unique. Mixing and matching decoration methods and exploring new branding locations gives you something special.

Another way to add some variety and flexibility to your uniform collection is choosing different styles that have the same fabrics. Our Dade, Mori, Wilcox and Mack shirts have the same textured knit with the same breathability, moisture wicking, snag resistance and UV protection, but have very distinctive looks. It’s an excellent way to add some diversity and visual interest, but maintain a cohesive feel.

3. Choose apparel For 9-5 and 5-9

If you’re investing in branded apparel as part of a uniform program, one of your goals has to be putting your name in front of people. If you’re looking to maximize brand impressions, you can select pieces that your team can wear not only at work, but out for dinner and drinks when things might be a little more casual.

Also, don’t overlook the importance of decoration and branding when creating a piece that your sales team will want to wear out after a day of client meetings. A more subtle decoration scheme may encourage your employees to keep that great knit quarter zip on as they head to the restaurant.

The Bottom Line

With a little planning and attention to detail, you can put together a uniform collection that makes your brand shine  and your employees happy.
